All eyes were on Victoria Beckham, but this time it wasn’t for her latest runway collection (though that did prove to be a huge hit) – it was because of the launch of her first make-up range, which has already been a phenomenal success, with several of the pieces selling out within hours of being released.
The 11-piece make-up collection focuses on eyes, drawing on Victoria’s own signature beauty look of a perfectly formed smoky eye, and was created along with co-founder Sarah Creal, former head of global make-up development and marketing at Estée Lauder. The collection includes the Smoky Eye Brick, a compact featuring four matte finish shades, the shimmering Lid Lustre available in four shades that have been inspired by the crystals Victoria uses for healing, and the Satin Kajal Liner, in three pigmented shades and has a blendable, waterproof formula.
The cruelty-free range, which will also include skincare and wellness products in the future, is focused on inclusivity – its foundation will come in 30 shades, designed to suit a wide range of skin tones. Created to be clean and kind, the brand uses no parabens or sulphates in its products and uses minimal plastic and 100% post-consumer waste in its outer packaging.
Critics and consumers alike have already fallen in love with the range, hailing it as a master class in modern luxury. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Brand Beckham.
